Creative Soul Summer Mini-Retreat
Sunday, July 14, 2019
Ah, Summer! It’s time to surrender to sensuality, in this season of ripe peaches and berry juice that dribbles down your chin. It’s time to feel the shock of jumping into cold river water, then soaking up the radiant heat of sun-baked rocks. Mmmm… let’s deeply inhale the scent of wild roses and the tang of salt-water breezes. – Joanna Powell Colbert
Have you found yourself spending too much time in that productive march forward… and too little celebrating the slow, sensory pleasures of the season? Do you fear summer might slip right past you while you are busy doing other things?
If so, join our annual Creative Soul Summer Mini-Retreat. It is a reset — a refreshing mini-oasis reconnecting you with your blue sky summer heart…
Why is this being offered?
- It’s an exhale, a chance for us to move back in our own skins, our own desires, so we can open fully to our lives and the season.
- It’s an opportunity for a one-time “taste” of the Creative Soul Seasonal Women’s Circles that I hold each fall and winter. (Next one starts August 15, 2019) If you enjoy the mini-retreat, then you will love our gatherings!
What happens here?
These gatherings have a mix that consistently creates magic. This includes a safe space to be yourself, beautiful poetry to drop deeper, quiet journaling time (no experience needed), small group conversation and powerful questions that invite us to more clearly hear our own wisdom and what we need. Women often walk in disconnected and sped up… and walk out more peaceful, clear and energized.
Can I invite a friend?
Yes! In fact, I highly encourage it. Most of us don’t get enough quality time with friends who matter to us, or ones we’d like to get to know better. The mini-retreat is an opportunity to share a beautiful experience with a friend (perhaps chatting more about it over coffee afterwards), and if it lights you up you can join the fall Circles with a friend and really deepen your connection – with them, with yourself and with new friends navigating similar life stages.
So invite a friend, invite your ease, and slip into the beauty of the season with us…
Our artsy, light-filled Allendale home in North-Central Austin. Cold drinks, healthy snacks and dark chocolate will be on hand.
To invite more self-reflection and intimacy, each Circle will be limited to 12 women. Choose from one of the two sessions below:
- Sunday, July 14 10 to 12 p.m.
- Sunday, July 14 2 to 4 p.m. FULL ( Email me if you want to get on the waiting list)

Praise for Carolyn’s Circles
Nurturing, compassionate space and time for my Self
When I first joined these Circles, I expected new friends (and I made them). I also made a friend in my Self. I love Carolyn’s lovely home and her calm, receptive, intuitive, lighthearted encouragement. Overall, attending these Circles has allowed me to carve out a nurturing, compassionate space and time for my Self. Ahhhh….
Carolyn’s authentic “being” with all of us fostered a safe environment
The welcoming setting of Carolyn’s home and her open and warm facilitation — with clear and gentle guidance — immediately established that this was a safe and nurturing environment. Her curiosity and encouragement, and active participation, provides a sense that we are all learning and exploring together. I can’t say enough about how Carolyn’s authentic “being” with all of us fostered a safe environment for personal exploration. These Circles are an exceptional experience.
