NEW! Monthly Inspired Women’s Mini-Writing Retreats
You know the feeling of NOT writing (and wishing you had). Or writing alone and wondering if your words matter. Or struggling to get focused with your writing as your mind does back flips and detours – anything but the clear stream of words you were hoping for. What if there was an easier way?
There is, and it’s called the Inspired Women’s Mini-Writing Retreats. This is a place to gather monthly and actually WRITE, regardless if you’ve never written or are highly seasoned. This isn’t a writer’s beauty contest where we are expected to dazzle with the perfect sentence. It’s about getting out of our isolation and reconnecting with our often overlooked creative self in a no-pressure environment. Details here.

with Carolyn Scarborough and Sharon Zeugin
Mabel Dodge Luhan House, Taos, NM
April 4 to 9, 2021
The Mabel Dodge Luhan House
Taos, New Mexico
Unwind underneath the big skies and tap into your most alive, inspired and creative self. Join us at the Mabel Dodge Luhan house in Taos, New Mexico … a place that became a creative hub, drawing literary and artistic luminaries from Georgia O’Keeffe to D.H. Lawrence.
It is an inspired place that calls the weary spirit to rest and revitalize, making it the perfect place for our 2021 Spring Retreat in Taos. Amidst the mountains and vast skies, essential pieces of your creative soul return. And as you move deeper into presence, creative energies begin to percolate. You pick up a paintbrush and what is true begins to flow through it. You sit under a cottonwood tree and your pen beckons with inner stories waiting to be told. Soon, your natural creativity is flowing again as you rediscover yourself as artist, writer, free spirit, inspired human… Details here.
Creative Soul Seasonal Women’s Circles
In the Creative Soul Seasonal Women’s Circles, we are not “improved upon.” We are already wise, amazing women. Instead, this is a space for renewal and re-invention. A place to dive inward and return with gifts that light our way moving forward.
It’s also a place where deep connections are made – 90 percent(ish) of the women return to the Circles year after year because they are so deeply nourished and bond with other women. New women are welcomed like old friends.
To enrich the experience even more, each “season” we choose a different book to charge up our inner and outer explorations. This fall, we’ll be inspired by “Reclaiming the Wild Soul” by Mary Reynolds Thompson.
Creative Soul Summer Oasis
Weekly throughout June, 2020 via Zoom
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary Circles. That’s why I’m offering this rare Summer Oasis series. It’s a place to come and deeply refill your well in the midst of whatever is happening. And in order to support others while we support ourselves, 25 percent of your registration fee will be donated to the Austin non-profit Foundation Communities which helps those who need food, shelter and any kind of assistance during this crisis.
Women’s Inspired WRITING Circles
Sometimes we’ve just had enough of doing it alone. Enough of the loneliness, the doubts, the erratic forwards and backwards. We imagine instead the support of like-minded women. Laughter. And tools to get us back on track with our writing. If you are tired of doing it alone (or not doing it at all), consider joining us.
Have you found yourself spending too much time in that productive march forward… and too little celebrating the slow, sensory pleasures of the season? Do you fear summer might slip right past you while you are busy doing other things?
If so, join our annual Creative Soul Summer Mini-Retreat. It is a reset — a refreshing mini-oasis reconnecting you with your blue sky summer heart…

If you want to attract clients with your words, but the writing just isn’t happening or isn’t connecting, then join us! (This event is through Texas Women in Business, but all are welcome.) Some of the takeaways from this lunch hour presentation will be:
- Learn the two biggest blocks to writing easily and authentically… and how to get around them.
- Find out what your current relationship with writing really is (hint: it’s not what you think)
- Learn a powerful practice you can do at home to quickly dissipate writing resistance and jump start flow.
- Move forward not with “push,” but the idea that “discipline is remembering what you want.”
- See where your authentic voice is hiding… and how to release her.
Morning Rituals to Awaken Creativity and Happiness
Seton Cove, Austin, Texas
What if a few changes in the way you begin your morning could have a powerful effect on your creativity and well-being, whether you are writing, working or simply wanting to live in a more inspired way? And what if these changes could be simple? For instance, imagine an entire morning routine in 5 minutes before you even get out of bed. Bottom line? We can either trudge into another day on autopilot… or prime the pump for purpose and creativity. So many of us have read about the benefits of morning routines, yet we don’t know where to begin, what to do, or how to stick with one. You’ll walk away with a customized morning routine that will include specific, powerful practices from “day scripting” to meeting and melting anxiety. Let’s greet our day in a way that leads to new possibilities and a more meaningful life.

Unleash your Writing Mojo…
Coaches and entrepreneurs write. Whether it’s getting our message out in a newsletter, a blog, a book or simply sending an email to a potential client, we desire to communicate in a way that authentically reflects who we are and what we believe. We may have a great message, but if it stays in our heads… we know the result. This month I will offer at workshop (open to the public) at the International Coach Federation – Austin Chapter geared to get you out of your head and onto the page. Whether you’ve written a lot or not at all, you’ll come away from the evening inspired, with practical tools you can use immediately to kick-start your writing… and share your wisdom with your ideal clients…

Tackling Soft Addictions
Seton Cove, Austin, Texas
Have you ever found yourself craving a life of more meaning… only to find yourself surfing the internet? Or binge watching shows on Netflix? Soft addictions are those numbing habits we ALL have which satisfy a surface want… yet block us from meeting deeper needs and desires. (Or goals — remember that book you’ve been thinking about writing?) They sap our time, energy and emotions.
During this workshop, we will take a humorous, non-judgmental look at the appeal of soft addictions and how they show up in our lives. Then we will explore our deeper spiritual hungers and how to meet those in a way that leads to a more fulfilling, engaged and meaningful life. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe says, “Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.”

To find the ones that deeply resonate for us, we will use writing prompts, guided visualizations and practical exercises. You will leave with a personal set of writing and creativity practices that energize you daily.

Opening to Love through the Questions in your Heart
Eremos, Austin, Texas
Journaling can be a great way to be with both the questions and the wisdom that resides within your heart. Whether you’re an old pro at journaling or have never felt called to it before, you’re invited to experience a spacious time to discover and awaken the questions in your own heart, to sit with them, to let them deepen.
Using poetry, writing, music, movement and breathwork, you will gain support in accessing your wisdom within.
Seton Cove, Austin, Texas
In Zen teacher Ezra Bayda’s book “Beyond Happiness,” he gives us three powerful questions that can change our lives: Am I truly happy right now? What blocks happiness? Can I surrender to what is? In this class we will go beyond the cerebral and into the practical experience of using these questions. We will practice with them in order to discover their deeper impact for ourselves.
